Tucked behind a red door with a Fender guitar neck handle since 1988, Dan Electro’s blends every genre into one intimate soundtrack.
The stage’s long history of standout performances has shaped a room where newcomers, teen rockers and touring pros share the same warm spotlight.
Many have moved on, but this monument to music remains — magnetic, meaningful, and made for the moment.
We operate as an incubator for live music, balancing no-cover nights with modest-cover shows so everyone can experience Houston’s creative pulse.
Order a local beer or a glass of wine, settle into a vintage booth, and let the next set remind you why live music matters.
Houston’s Neighborhood Stage Since 1988
Experience living music history. Dan Electro’s turned a Heights bungalow into the city’s most storied listening room (except for Fitzgeralds, o7) , a place where Greg Allman traded licks, Billy Gibbons slipped in unannounced, Stevie Ray Vaughan scorched the fretboard, and even Richard Gere grabbed a mic. Their echoes ride every chord that spills across the worn concrete floor.
Today the spirit is as fearless as ever. Tuesday’s open Music Jam & Mixer keeps the pipeline fresh, but any night you can settle into a vintage booth, order a cold pint, and watch Houston’s next legend catch fire under those iconic string lights. History is still being written here, one solo at a time.
