A group that could only form in Houston, Yaupon is characterized by tight grooves, wistful vocals, virtuosic guitar melodies, and a dynamic live show. Taking inspiration from Wilco, The War on Drugs, and Sheryl Crow, Yaupon creates their own brand of eclectic indie rock. Yaupon's upcoming album, Always Right on Time, explores themes of fatherhood, technology, romance, distance, and living in the moment. The album's tight production puts forward Yaupon's unique blend of groovy indie music with touches of alt country, psychedelia, and loud rock.
