Joining them is Some Temple Pilots, Houston’s own tribute to Stone Temple Pilots, delivering all the STP hits you know and love with spot-on grit and swagger. The legacy
Dan Electro’s has been the Heights’ neighborhood stage since 1988. It all started with guitarist Teri Greene’s Tuesday Blues Jam and lives on today through host Shawn Allen, whose easy charisma keeps the night loose, inclusive, and absolutely electric. Every riff still echoes that original spirit of community and creative risk-taking.
For musicians
Show up with an instrument, add your name, and plug in around 7:30 PM. Blues, jazz, funk, R&B, and experimental grooves share equal airtime. Veterans swap wisdom, first-timers get genuine encouragement, and surprise guests lift the room higher. Think impromptu master class with a loving crowd. No cover, no ego—just pure collaboration.
For patrons
Not here to play? Perfect. Grab an ice-cold beer or a craft cocktail, slide into a vintage booth, and let Houston’s most eclectic soundtrack wash over you. From smooth jazz to blistering slide-guitar duels, every set feels like a mini-festival. Between songs the covered patio becomes a living social feed where locals, tourists, and pros trade stories under string lights. Tuesday slump cured.

Space City Cats We Can Do Better 2nd Annual Fundraiser
Space City Cats is a volunteer run non profit focusing on Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) / rescue efforts and an effective and compassionate approach to protect our community and our feline friends. Every single cat TNR'd prevents 100 more from being born homeless and unsafe, cats that would face hunger, illnesses and hardship. One surgery creates a ripple effect of protection, health and hope. Houston - WE CAN DO BETTER! Our fundraiser supports the ongoing work that makes an impact possible. All proceeds go directly toward spay/neuter, medical needs and essential supplies. Helping us today safeguards or community cats and our neighborhood in the most compassionate way.

Surfest 13
Sur Fest 2026 marks the 13th annual edition of Houston’s premier Latin American music festival, taking place Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 6PM until close at Dan Electro’s.
Headlining the night is Mexico City’s legendary and electrifying DJ Silverio, known for his wildly eccentric stage presence and genre-bending performances. Joining him are Houston-based Latin American artists spanning indie rock, folklore, flamenco, and jazz, performing across two dynamic stages.
The outdoor patio will feature curated food vendors and artisan exhibitions, creating a vibrant cultural marketplace that complements the music.
Sur Fest celebrates the richness, creativity, and diversity of Houston’s Latin American community by spotlighting local musicians and artists in an inclusive, high-energy setting where culture, sound, and community converge.

Lucas/Heaven (formerly of Grandfather Child) returns with his 10-piece “family band,” featuring some of Houston’s top musicians. Known for his genre-blending sound and boundary-pushing live shows, Lucas brings music from his latest album IMAGINE THAT! along with highlights from his eclectic career spanning synth-disco, afrobeat, funk, and cinematic soul.
Opening the night is Houston powerhouse Kam Franklin of The Suffers, performing her new solo material backed by the Lucas/Heaven band. A three-time Houston Press Best Female Vocalist and internationally recognized artist and activist, Kam brings dynamic energy and soul to the stage.
DJ Uncle Tino will set the vibe before and after the performances to keep the funk flowing all night.

Group Project is our initiative to help the Southern Smoke Foundation raise funds to continue their work, providing financial support to food and beverage workers when it's needed most. Whether facing unforeseen hardships or seeking mental health care, SSF's funds and resources are here to help those who put food or drinks on the table, and this is our way of giving back.
The Southern Smoke Foundation is a Houston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded by chef Chris Shepherd, that provides emergency financial relief and mental health support to food and beverage industry workers nationwide. It acts as a safety net, covering living expenses, medical bills, and natural disaster aid, having distributed over $15.6 million since 2015.

Now, three decades later, it's time to go back to a time when life was a little simpler and the vibe was purely 90s.
Join us for a private event at Dan Electro's in The Heights as we celebrate our 30-year milestone. This isn't just a reunion; it's an All-Longhorn takeover. Our venue and our caterer are both Dobie Alumni-owned, and the live band will feature two of our own graduates.

Sinkane at Dan Electros

Sinkane is a Sudanese-American musician known for blending krautrock, prog rock, electronica, free jazz, funk rock, and Sudanese pop into a sound that feels both expansive and deeply rooted. Signed to City Slang Records, Sinkane recently released his eighth studio album, We Belong, a vibrant, genre-fluid record that pulses with pop immediacy, funk grit, and electronic warmth.
We Belong draws from the raw, punk-tinged energy of 1970s and 80s New York while grounding itself in the steady, soulful rhythms of Gallab’s Sudanese heritage. The album moves across eras and emotions, traveling through themes of healing, connection, and cultural memory. Gallab describes it as his love letter to Black music, with each track channeling a different lineage and moment in time.
From the gospel-soaked uplift of “Everything Is Everything,” to the Quiet Storm-influenced Afro-beat dreaminess of “Rise Above,” the Sly Stone-inspired 70s funk of the title track “We Belong,” and the Stevie Wonder-tinged optimism of “Another Day,” the album tells a larger story about Black music and Black people, past, present, and evolving.

The Filthy Heathens came out of the pandemic swinging — built on loud guitars, honest songwriting, and zero brakes. What started with Bronson Hetzer, Ryan Palcic, and “Captain” Craig Bishop quickly locked in with Cody Doench and Dawson Stepp. Five members. Full throttle.
Blending Southern grit with outlaw country and hard rock edge, their sound is raw, road-tested, and impossible to box in. Inspired by legends like Skynyrd and Waylon, with a modern punch, their songs are built to be felt — especially live, where the band has earned a reputation for high-octane shows and relentless touring.
Their debut EP Etheridge dropped in May 2025, followed by The Muscle Shoals Session in February 2026 — a stripped-down, live-recorded project cut at the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio. With no frills and no filters, it captures exactly who they are on stage.
They return to the studio in April 2026 — louder, tighter, and just getting started.
