Gitkin + Geoffrey’s Banjo Band + DJ Cajun B

Headliner:

  • Gitkin

Special Guest:

  • Geoffrey’s Electric Banjo Band

  • DJ Cajun B

Gitkin's music has always lived between places. His sound is shaped by the kind of musical cross-pollination that happens in cities where cultures overlap and boundaries blur, absorbing a spectrum that doesn't sit neatly in one tradition: dub echo chambers, surf guitar tones, deep funk pockets, and modal melodies hinting at places far from any single origin. Instrumental music, for him, has never been about genre. It's about feel, atmosphere, and the quiet emotional narratives that unfold without words.

New Orleans-based Gitkin, also known as Brian J Gitkin, is a Grammy-nominated artist and producer renowned for his work with Cedric Burnside, Bab L' Bluz, Bernard Purdie, Cyril Neville, and Art Neville, and as the mastermind behind the internationally beloved funk ensemble Pimps Of Joytime. What began as a passion project has grown into a global phenomenon, with monthly streams surpassing 300,000 and his self-produced albums resonating deeply across continents.

Lord Buffalo
Oct

Lord Buffalo

Headliner:

  • Lord Buffalo

Special Guests:

  • Rael’s Pink Angels

  • Dim Daises

Lord Buffalo is heavy in the way that ghosts are heavy… in the way that billowing dust is heavy.

That is to say, the Austin, TX psych-americana band’s music impacts hard, though it seems impossible to touch. Their sound flows through us, it doesn’t invite the Pavlovian response of typical heavy rock music.

Perhaps it’s fitting then that their new album Holus Bolus takes its name from an antiquated term meaning “all at once.” It materializes instantly from the first notes of the opening title track, like a dark grey haze drawing listeners in with the band’s deft juxtapositions of droning violin, guitars, drums and vocals. It draws equally from Morricone and Badalamenti as from Sabbath and Swans.

While the quartet trudges the same murky waters as dark emotive brethren David Eugene Edwards/Woven Hand, Chelsea Wolfe, Emma Ruth Rundle, Earth/Dylan Carlson, Echo & The Bunnymen, Nick Cave, etc., their creative interplay of Middle Eastern influence with a distinctly Western feel takes listeners in entirely new directions as the album envelops them.

Lord Buffalo is Daniel Pruitt (guitar, bass, piano, vocals, melodica), Garrett Hellman (guitar, synth-bass, piano, synths), Patrick Patterson (violin), and Yamal Said (drums, percussion). Holus Bolus was recorded by Danny Reisch and Max Lorenzen at Good Danny's in Lockhart, TX. Mixed by Danny Reisch. Mastered by Max Lorenzen.

“While the making of this record feels a bit like a sleep-deprived hallucination to me,” Pruitt says. “Listening to it now, I find it strangely hopeful — there's a kind of release that you hit in exhaustion. I think the record knew what it was after, even if we didn’t. It felt very much like the record just appeared one day, holus bolus.”

Holus Bolus will be available worldwide on vinyl, CD, and digital via Blues Funeral Recordings

Thursday Nights with Nether Hour 10/8

Thursday Nights with Nether Hour 10/8

Headliner:

  • Nether Hour

"We don't play country music, but we're good ole boys from the country."

Down in the heart of Austin, TX, where the music runs thicker than the heat, there's a band that's been making some serious noise. They call themselves Nether Hour, and they've been turning every dive bar and backroad juke joint into a full-blown musical revival. The band is a trio of unapologetic rebels, each one a powerhouse of sonic defiance. Bobby Flaco delivers gritty vocals and razor-sharp guitar riffs, while Bishop unleashes searing lead guitar and mandolin work, with Bercy laying down bass lines that slam right into your gut. Nether Hour is a relentless sonic melting pot, fusing the swampy grooves of Louisiana with Texas-sized doses of funk, blues, soul, and rock 'n' roll.

MOONSHINE is an eight-track album that promises to be the raucous, intoxicating follow-up to their previous escapade, SUNSHINE. Released through Nether Family Records, MOONSHINE bottles the unbridled energy of their live shows into a sonic elixir so potent, it'll make you tipsy just by listening. It's a fierce concoction of deep grooves, smooth vocals, and irresistible beats, crafted from late-night jam sessions and back-alley dives where the whiskey flows as freely as the music.

MOONSHINE distills the very essence of Nether Hour: raw, untamed, and deeply rooted in Austin's vibrant music culture. This forthcoming record feels like a midnight drive with every twist revealing something new: a searing solo, a thumping bassline, or an unstoppable beat. These guys are the real deal, blending Southern grit with the ability to shift from bluesy riffs to swampy grooves in a heartbeat.

Wine Lips
Oct

Wine Lips

Headliner:

  • Wine Lips

Support:

  • Heathers

Wine Lips is pure chaos. The Canadian garage punk psych rockers know a thing or two about getting loud and rowdy, and their ear-scorchin’, headbangin’, adrenaline-pumpin’ music rips so hard and fast it’ll feel like you’re being launched clean out of reality.

The band’s been givin’r since 2015. What began as a part-time project between Cam Hilborn (vox, songwriter, guitar) and Aurora Evans (drums) got cranked right up to a full-blown international shredfest over the last decade. They’ve quietly become one of the most successful independent rock bands to emerge from Canada in a generation. Wine Lips started out in and around Toronto, expanded to Ontario and Quebec, then knocked out a cheeky international tour in Hong Kong and China in 2018. From there, like their music, they never slowed down. They’ve ripped hundreds of sets all across North America, Europe, and Asia, playing big fat often sold-out shows at some legendary venues. For three years, they were pretty much always on the road — right up until the end of 2024 when they decided to chill a bit on all the touring to focus on writing their new record TV Dinner.

Wine Lips has released four full-length albums to international acclaim, racking up 45 million Spotify streams and counting. They’ve garnered rave reviews spanning 35+ countries and smashed out iconic live shows including an appearance on KEXP, supporting the Black Crowes at both Massey Hall and MTELUS. Their sets have rocked festivals across North America and Europe, like Shaky Knees (Atlanta), SJOCK, Best Kept Secret, PALP, and End Of The Road, to name a few. And their tunes have been licensed to a metric ton of films, series and video games, including EA Sports, ABC’s The Rookie, Hockey Night In Canada, and Population 11.

Their new record TV Dinner drops August 28.
TV Dinner spans 13 fuzzy, mind-bending tracks themed around the slog of modern life: burnout, doomscrolling, addiction, dead-end jobs, housing frustrations, and the low-grade anxiety humming beneath it all. Recorded with longtime collaborator Simon Larochette at The Sugar Shack in London, Ontario, the album deliberately leaves the rough edges alone. For the first time, Aurora steps up to lead vocals on several tracks, including the debut single “Projector,” a garage-punk blast that’s a total racket.

“I wasn’t trying to take it too seriously or overthink anything which probably helped with a lot of the subject matter of the lyrics. I definitely took a bit more of a candid approach with the lyrics. I didn’t want the record to sound too polished, so we left a lot of mistakes and natural weird things that might normally be fixed in the mix. It’s the first time Aurora has taken a lead vocal role which is cool and her voice works well with the songs she sings on! It was a fun record to put together and we’re stoked with how it turned out.” – Cam Hilborn

“Now that’s what I call music!.” – Iggy Pop BBC Radio

“It's pure adrenaline, it's noise, it's intense, it's refreshing, and it feels life-giving. The garage-psych band's new album is, for all intents and purposes, pretty fucking crazy.” – Exclaim!

“There’s a sensuality and strong sense of controlled chaos that these Canadians bring to life on the record.” – New Noise Magazine

The Filthy Heathens Wednesday Rock and Roll Extravaganza

The Filthy Heathens Wednesday Rock and Roll Extravaganza

Headliner:

  • The Filthy Heathens

Sparked by the chemistry between Bronson Hetzer, Ryan Palcic, and “Captain” Craig Bishop, things got serious fast with the addition of guitarists Cody Doench and Dawson Stepp. With five members locked in, the band took off. Five members. No brakes.

Blending Southern grit with alt-edge, classic country with hard rock, their sound defies easy classification. It’s rich, raw, and rooted in something deeper than genre. This is music you can’t quite label — and that’s the point. Inspired by legends like Skynyrd and Waylon, with a nod to modern acts like Blackberry Smoke and The Steel Woods, their songs are road-tested, unapologetic, and built to be felt.

Known for high-octane live shows and a rapidly growing fanbase, The Filthy Heathens have been hitting stages across the country with relentless momentum. One gig at a time, they’re building something real — and it’s catching on. Live, the band goes full throttle, and so do their crowds. Every performance is designed to pull you away from your phone and drop you straight into the moment.

Their debut EP Etheridge dropped in May 2025, led by the singles “Tupelo Sun” and “Devils Like Me.” In February 2026, the band will release The Muscle Shoals Session, a raw, live-recorded EP captured at the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio — a room that helped shape the very music that inspired them. With no frills and no filters, the recordings reflect exactly who they are on stage.

The fuse is lit and the momentum keeps building. The Filthy Heathens will return to the studio in April 2026 to continue pushing forward — louder, tighter, and more dialed-in than ever.

Country Music From Atlanta: Cody Bolden & The Roadhands

Headliner:

  • Cody Bolden & The Road Hands

Cody Bolden and The Roadhands are an Atlanta-based country outfit blending traditional country, heartfelt ballads, classic honky-tonk, and Southern storytelling.

Their third full-length album, Menace to Myself, arrives October 2nd, 2026.

Glide Magazine described the band's single "Lightning In A Bottle" as "a hard-hitting work of guitar-soaked Southern rock. For fans of groups like Blackberry Smoke, Gov’t Mule, and even Pony Bradshaw, this song will definitely hit home with its balance of poignant, haunting lyrics and plenty of bluesy guitar shredding. The band also works in a healthy dose of country swagger, ultimately making for the kind of tune well-suited for big rowdy crowds or dark and smoky bars."

Lucas Jack Album Release Show w Charlie Danger's Jet Set & Ryan Torpea

Headliner:

  • Lucas Jack

Special Guest:

  • Charlie Danger's Jet Set

  • Ryan Torpea

Lucas Jack writes the kind of songs that sound like they've been on the radio for forty years and were waiting for someone to catch up. The St. Louis-based artist grew up in Michigan, hunting down unguarded pianos in bars, hotel lobbies, and church halls - a kid raised on Billy Joel's Greatest Hits, late-night Delilah dedications, and the soft-rock canon of Hornsby, Loggins, Hall and Oates, and the Doobie Brothers. He went on to practice law in Chicago before trading the certainty of a legal career for a Texas move and a full-time run at music in 2012.

What followed was a decade of bar gigs from Corpus Christi to Chicago, a few self-released records, and the assembly of a band - bassist Justin Schneider and drummer Mike Gomez. His 2023 album Bittersweet is Better started turning heads, racking up 2.5 million streams and helping push his total catalogue past five million.

His new album, Time Machine, is the most fully realized record he's made. Tracked with Schneider and Gomez at The Boardroom in St. Louis and Neon Cowboy Studios in Dallas, the twelve-song LP moves from the yacht-rock glow of "San Antonio" to the rain-on-windshield ache of "Lie To Me" to the Rocky-montage adrenaline of "Imma Do It."

Joe King Carrasco

Joe King Carrasco

Headliner:

  • Joe King Carrasco

Known as the King of Tex-Mex rock and roll, Joe King Carrasco, creates a stylistic borderland of pop rock and Latin rhythms. His cross-cultural stew blends cumbias, vamp, salsa, surf, reggae, blues, and Latin-tinged polkas. It has been a long road, coming from Dumas,Texas, a dusty little west Texas town where he started playing in garage bands until in his late teens, he was lured to the beaches in Southern Mexico and was drawn to the Mexican music he was hearing around him.

Back in Texas he joined up with future members of the Texas Tornados and formed a band known as Joe King Carrasco & El Molino and in 1978 released his 1st LP titled "Tex-Mex Rock & Roll". Somehow this record made its way to England and was re-released by Big Beat Records where Elvis Costello would always play "jalapeño con big red" on his radio show - out of London.

In 1979, he formed Joe King Carrasco and the Crowns featuring Vox organ-driven Tex-Mex pop. The Crowns, released their first single, "Party Weekend", and the label chase began and soon the band was playing chic New York venues and generating lines around the block. The band became one of the first American groups signed to England's legendary Stiff Records. During this time Joe toured extensively throughout Europe, Central America, Bolivia and Columbia as well as across the USA and Canada, delivering high energy performances where dancing was the numero uno priority.

Rounding out his assault on the International music scene with an in-depth interview in Rolling Stone Magazine and an appearance performing his music on Saturday Night Live. His song "Party Weekend" which is still known as the quintessential party anthem, was re-released by MTV as Party Christmas, making Joe King Carrasco a household name to MTV viewers across the country.

Even with all this going on Joe knew he was ready to take his music to a new level. It was on the Stiff Records, Sons of Stiff Tour, while traveling with a British-born Jamaican band called The Equators, that Joe picked up much of his reggae influence. After returning from a very successful year on the road, he put this experience to work and recorded the reggae flavored song "Don't Let a Woman (Make a Fool Out of You)" on his album Synapse Gap for MCA Records where he had the King of pop, Michael Jackson, singing background harmonies.

Joe's music is enhanced with an even greater Latin influence after living and studying in Nicaragua in the mid 1980's. His songs dealt with the unjust political situation of that period in Central America, and the resulting albums were; "Bordertown", "Bandido Rock" (off of which the song "Pachucco Hop" was recorded by the French group Mano Negra, headed up by Manu Chao, on their first platinum selling CD), and "Royal Loyal & Live" (with the only live recording of the hit song "Party Weekend").

Several years ago, His Majesty took a few left turns at Nogales and wound up playing with his band at a bar called Pancho y Lefty's in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. There, the Tex-Mex fell into a slow cool cumbia/reggae groove- which Joe coined the term- "Tequila Reggae" This spicy style can be heard on several of his recordings including "Dia de Los Muertos", "Hot Sun", and "Hay Te Guacho Cucaracho".

In early 1996 Joe's song "Tell Me" was recorded by The Texas Tornados, and sung by Freddy Fender, on their CD '4 Aces'. His music has been placed on numerous movie soundtracks including "Breathless" with Richard Gere, James Gardners' "Rockford Files", and he also played on the 'Tin Cup' sound track. Joe King Carrasco has been involved in acting for many years but in 2009 he stepped into the roles of writer and director with the release of his first film "Rancho No Tengo". The soundtrack with the same name was released in 2008.

Because dogs are such an important part of his life, in 2011, Joe along with his three Jack Russell Terriers who go everywhere he goes, started a nonprofit group, Viva Perros (www.vivaperros.org) which helps homeless, abused and neglected dogs find a better life.

Joe King Carrasco was awarded in both 1979 and 1983, The Buddy Award for Best Latin Artist. In 2003, Joe King Carrasco was inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame and in 2012 Joe was inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame for a second time with his band The Crowns. The Academy of Texas Music awarded Joe King Carrasco a Lifetime Achievement Award in March of 2012, and Joe was also honored with the Entertainer of the Year Award by the Academy of Texas Music along with a Historical Significance Award.

In June of 2011, Joe King Carrasco reunited with the original Crowns, they went back to the studio and recorded a new CD, "Que Wow", which they released during the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas in March of 2012.

Joe King Carrasco landed back in the studio late 2012 - this time with Ernie Durawa, Speedy Sparks and Augie Meyers, three members of his first band, El Molino and The Texas Tornados-and recorded a new CD, 'Tlaquepaque'.

When not touring, Joe King Carrasco can be found at his musical home in Puerto Vallarta, Nacho Daddy, a Mex-Tex restaurant and bar. Holding court at Nacho Daddy gives Joe King a palace to rock his Tex-Mex and transport those who drink the magic flavored "margaritas" to a place where the "Party Weekend" goes on forever.

Recently Carrasco teamed up with Luis Murillo from Colectivo Chihuaha at La Bufa Mountain Studios- deep in the heart of Jalisco - high up in the Sierra Madre mountains-in what's arguably the King's magnum opus, Beer Bars & Guitars, his first studio cd- record-in the UK in over 37 years since his Stiff records days back in the early 80s- on the Alternative Facts Label-a quintessential-but-modern Tex-Mex platter -with the "La Bamba " style groove of- "Carrera Larga" leading the charge! He then found himself in the fall of 2021 back on the English pub circuit touring all over the UK with a few prisons thrown into the mix also with Hardwicke Circus from Carlisle -England -backing him up.

With the Pandemic slowly easing up - Carrasco kicked off the Sirius Outlaw Country Cruise for the second consecutive year in February 2023 taking his Tex Mex Blues a Billy out to the Caribbean and beyond - with The Free Mexican Air Force.

Since then Joe has worked tirelessly touring Ukraine and Europe with Hardwicke Circus and raising funds to purchase SUV's loaded with medical equipment to help save lives on the frontline.

Joe continues to write, record and tour incessantly and expects to have a new album out late 2026/early 2027.

Thursday Nights with Nether Hour 11/12

BAYOU BANG-A-RANG! With THE BANDULUS & DEM ROOTS MUSIC

Special Guests:

  • The Bandulus

  • Dem Roots Music

Born in the heart of Austin, Texas, The Bandulus (pronounced ban-doo-loos) are a soul-soaked force in the world of ska and reggae. Fronted by founding member Jeremy Peña, the band's dynamic core includes Mario Salazar, and Leah Farmer, each bringing their own deep musical roots and energy to the stage and studio.

With a sound that pays homage to the golden age of Jamaican ska, while infusing it with elements of soul, early reggae, and rocksteady, The Bandulus have carved a unique space in the modern ska revival scene. Their heartfelt lyrics and tight rhythms have won over fans across the U.S. and beyond.

Over the course of their career, The Bandulus have released five full-length studio albums, showcasing their growth as musicians and songwriters. Their most recent two records were released through the respected European ska label Badasonic Records, further cementing their place on the international ska and reggae map. Known for their powerful live performances and deep respect for tradition, The Bandulus continue to evolve, offering a fresh but faithful take on a timeless genre.

DEM ROOTS MUSIC.

The center and founder of the group, singer/songwriter Louis Morales, didn't want the name to be the identification of the band, but be more about the music and the experience.

Dem first appeared in 2016 as Morales' stage name, when he was playing gigs in his hometown of Galveston, TX. He quickly began to collect musicians into his project, leading him to today's solid cast of six: Pat Kelly (drums) and Kevin B (lead guitar) of The Suffers, Liam Haney (bass) of Houston's Third Coast Roots, Sel Philips Caveraz (drums), and Allison Lopez (sax).

As the world was locking down at the start of 2020, Dem's Pat, Allison, Sel, and Louis joined forces with Austin musicians Dane Folton (bass, Lion Heights), Jeremy Carlson (keys, Lion Heights), and Mario Salazar (lead guitar, The Bandulus) to Tall Sky Studios in Austin, where they recorded their first album. Citing it as being a positive but strange experience to record during shut-down, the band quickly realized that the overarching message of the music was about understanding yourself - a phrase that everyone can relate to.

Shortly after recording, and upon returning to Houston, Louis found the final members of his crew. Their first full-length album Forward Ever, it out now!

Kendall Street Company: Yodeling Astroman Tour

Kendall Street Company: Yodeling Astroman Tour

Headliner:

  • Kendall Street Company

    Special Guest:

  • Texas String Assembly

Virginia's Kendall Street Company are no strangers to having a wild time. The genre-fluid, eclectic rock ensemble has drawn varied comparisons to the dynamic jams of Umphrey's McGee and Widespread Panic, songwriting of John Prine, experimental psychedelia of Pink Floyd, progressive jazz-infused rock of Frank Zappa, and off-color humor of Ween and They Might Be Giants. Including elements of crowd participation, off-the-cuff comedic bits, haphazard choreography, musical improvisation, and surprise musical guests, each Kendall Street Company concert is an experience unlike any other. You'll laugh, you'll cry. Just remember to stay hydrated.

In addition to their reputation as must-see live performers, the Company's prolific immunity to writer's block has led them to release over 120 original songs between eight studio albums, four live albums, and four EPs in a period of just nine years. 2026 has seen the release of two singles including a couple produced by Dave Schools of Widespread Panic. The band is currently hard at work in the studio working on their follow up album which is slated for October 2026. You can also enjoy a massive selection of live shows through the band’s direct-to-band subscription on their website and nugs.net.

These often include unreleased and improvised tracks, as well as covers ranging from the Grateful Dead to DEVO, to Alanis Morisette, to Soulja Boy, to Cake, to Mapache, to Billie Eilish, to really whatever we might be listening to. With a full in-ear monitor and multitrack recording rig, the band continues to capture the moments that mean the most to fans.

Kendall Street Company is: Louis Smith [Rhythm Guitar/Lead Vox], Brian Roy [Bass], Ryan Wood [Drums], Ben Laderberg [Lead Guitar], and Jake Vanaman [Saxophone/Keys]. The five met at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA, where they graduated between 2015 and 2020. For such a young band, their accomplishments are commendable. They have performed at festivals including LOCKN', Summer Camp, High Sierra, Resonance, Floydfest, Hulaween, Peach Fest, Northlands, and Rooster Walk. The band has been joined on stage and in the studio by the likes of Keller Williams, Ron Holloway, Andy Thorn, Sawborg Destructo (GWAR), and Andy Hall. The Company has also opened for many of the greats in the scene, sharing the stage with Goose, Umphrey's McGee, Papadosio, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Leftover Salmon, the Infamous Stringdusters, Big Something, and Melvin Seals & JGB.

Together, they make music a lot like their current base of Los Angeles: sunny on the surface, darker and more layered at its roots. Their fizzy, squiggly lounge pop now leaning toward '70s piano rock as well as Brazilian, exotica and city pop influences asks how to live with uncertainty and disquiet.

In January 2025, as Trump's second inauguration loomed and wildfires raged through LA, Juju stayed up all night crying. The next morning, she woke to find that Jojo had written a song for her, "Wide Awake," a calm offering in the midst of panic. From that moment, the process of creating Monkey Mind began.

Pearl & The Oysters' new album Monkey Mind takes its title from the Buddhist concept of a restless, looping consciousness: thoughts jumping, spiraling and rarely settling. Produced by Jonathan Rado (Weyes Blood, The Lemon Twigs, Father John Misty), the record follows that cycle across the span of a day, beginning in a state of calm before the mind wakes up, gathers speed, and eventually softens again.

Following a "primal and direct" instinct rather than retreating into long, meticulous processes, Juju and Jojo chose to work quickly, writing their sixth album in a matter of weeks. "We felt a need to tap into a certain urgency and honesty, as a result of our growing malaise with a cultural climate plagued by digital alienation and generative AI slop," says the duo. Using the 24-hour framework as a creative constraint, the record opens with Randy Newman-like piano, peaceful and half-asleep, before the energy shifts to the fidgety yacht rock guitar of "Mandarin Moon", fast-paced instrumental "Shinkansen", and the frantic '70s funk of "Stratford & 52" the street the duo lived on when they first moved to LA. At the center is Juju and Jojo's long-standing relationship: on "A Pocket Symphony," they look back to their creative and romantic partnership, which began in high school.

Thursday Nights with Nether Hour 9/10

Thursday Nights with Nether Hour 9/10

Since 1988, Dan Electro's has been a cornerstone of Houston’s live music scene, starting with Teri Greene’s legendary Tuesday Blues Jam and carried on today by host Shawn Allen’s welcoming, anything-goes energy.

Musicians can sign up, plug in around 7:30 PM, and jump into an open jam spanning blues, jazz, funk, R&B, and beyond. Veterans and first-timers share the stage in a laid-back, collaborative atmosphere where surprise guests and spontaneous moments are part of the tradition. No cover, no ego, just great music and community.

Not a player? Grab a beer or cocktail, settle into a booth or the patio, and enjoy one of Houston’s most eclectic live music nights. Every set is different, from smooth jazz grooves to fiery guitar battles, with a crowd that feels more like a neighborhood gathering than a concert.

Part jam session, part social mixer, part Houston institution, Shawn Allen’s Music Mixer & Jam is where the city’s musicians and music lovers come together every Tuesday night.

Metal Mondays! Vacant Wire

Metal Mondays! Vacant Wire

Headliner:

  • Vacant Wire

Vacant Wire is a Houston-area youth rock trio proving that great live music has no age requirement. Featuring Jimmy (14) on guitar, Matthias (17) on bass, and Rhys (9) on drums, the band combines impressive musicianship, natural chemistry, and an energetic live presence that consistently catches audiences by surprise.

Drawing heavily from ’90s alternative, grunge, and classic rock, Vacant Wire brings a fresh generation’s energy to everything from Nirvana and The Offspring to Led Zeppelin, Godsmack, The Stooges and more. What began simply as three young musicians who loved playing together has quickly grown into a working band, earning opportunities to perform at established Houston-area venues and continuing to build momentum with each show.

Despite their ages, Vacant Wire isn’t a music-school showcase or a manufactured youth act. The band was built organically through their own talent, dedication, rehearsals, and shared love of the music. Their performances balance tight musicianship with the loose, unpredictable energy that makes rock and roll fun in the first place.

Vacant Wire takes the stage at Dan Electro’s on Monday, September 7 at 7 PM, bringing a set built for anyone who still believes rock music is best experienced live.

Phantom AD + Devil Killing Moth

Headliner:

  • Phantom AD

Special Guest:

  • Devil Killing Moth

More than a mere performance, The Phantom A.D. delivers an electrifying spectacle. Fronted by The Phantom—a larger-than-life figure draped in his signature cape and afro—the Phantom has pioneered a unique musical genre known as Ghoulish Rock N’ Roll. Seamlessly blending Surf, Garage, and Rockabilly elements with the frenzied, forbidden fun of an old horror movie, they’ve established a worldwide following.

Originally known as Isaac Rother & The Phantoms, the band has undergone an evolution, reemerging as The Phantom A.D. to reflect a new chapter in their macabre musical journey. While the name has changed, the ghoulish energy and commitment to their hauntingly good sound remain stronger than ever.

Boomtown Dance Party!

Formed in 2015, the musicians of Boomtown Brass Band evolved into a performing ensemble steeped in the traditions of authentic 1920s hot jazz. The Boomtown sound begins with the classic New Orleans jazz style, travels north to include Chicago’s “dixieland” style, visits the early 1930s “gypsy jazz” guitar style, and finally adds in a touch of New Orleans second line for good measure.

Boomtown Brass Band is known for making great music for listening or dancing, with an acclaimed following of dancers. Boomtown Brass Band keeps the origins of jazz alive, dancing, singing, and celebrating in Houston.
